Nancy Michaels Nancy is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan in 1981. She then earned her Masters Degree and completed a dietetic internship at Emory University where she taught and advised fellow graduate students and conducted research to complete her thesis project. She worked as a nutritionist, counseling patients and family members and consulting with physicians. As she has raised her family, Nancy has been involved in the community on many levels, especially in activities related to education, including PTA President; PT Council Vice-President; Chair of the Scarsdale Task Force on Drugs and Alcohol; a member of Scarsdale High School’s College Information Task Force and Compact Committee, and Chair of the Parent/Teacher Conference Committee. Nancy has also been the Journal Chair of Maroon and White, and a member of the School Board Nominating Committee and Health Advisory Council. She is currently on the Board of Trustees and Chair of the College Committee at her synagogue, on the boards of the League of Women Voters of Scarsdale and STEP (Student Education Transfer Program), and is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Scarsdale Bowl. |
